Pollyanna Week

Gretchen Rubin at The Happiness Project has declared this week Pollyanna Week with the goal of spending a week without criticizing or complaining. It’s a tall order, but she has good reasons. By eliminating these negative parts of conversation, she plans to make herself a happier person. She also believes that people associate the words you use to describe others to you. So, when you complain that someone is lazy, your listener(s) subconsciously attribute laziness to you. Much better that they think of you as clever, helpful, and heroic. So, use those words and benefit from them.
