Abbé Pierre

Abbé Pierre died yesterday. Often voted amongst the greatest Frenchmen ever, I’d never heard of him. He’s now holding a proud place in the Gallery of Heroes as a great giver to the people around him. He gave up his wordly possessions early in his life and joined the monastery. The lifestyle wasn’t good for him as he was prone to lung infections, so he became a priest. He never stopped helping until yesterday, dying at the age of 94.
