Women’s History Heroes #26 – Jerrie Cobb

Emily has provided hero number 26.

Jerrie Cobb blazed the trail for women astronauts. Her ability to fly as well as the men around her led her to training with NASA among the first astronauts. A technicality in the regulations for astronauts meant that she never able to become one, nor were the other dozen women she recruited. She fought this rule in vain until she retired.
