Women’s History Heroes #29 – Eowyn

2008 March 31

Tolkien took some criticism for the lack of female characters in his books. Not least of which came from his daughter. Eowyn is supposed to have been Tolkien’s consolation to his daughter. There’s still some debate as to whether she’s a strong female role model, but I think it’s how you read it. To me she’s a go-getter who helped in the war for Middle Earth. You can read her hero’s journey by clicking here.
