Women’s History Heroes #31 – Kay Cosgray

Kay CosgrayAs a child, I looked up to my Aunt Kay. I wanted to be her. Not because she was a movie star or had a lot of fame, but instead because of being such a strong, determined woman. She saw where there were problems and inequalities and worked to fix them. When people said that she couldn’t do something due to her sex, she worked twice as hard to prove them wrong. And in the meantime, showed another generation of women that you can do anything you put your mind, and your heart, to.

Kay is still a strong woman and one I still look up to. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding, a Godmother to one of my children, and a friend to myself and my family. And I’m proud to call her my hero.
